LORMAN, Miss. – The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers had little trouble finding the back of the net Friday as they cruised to a 9-0 win at Alcorn State.
Alicia Cooper and
Kamra Brown each scored a pair of goals, while
Khalisha Bond netted the match-winner barely six minutes after the opening whistle.
Shelby Moore,
Arianna Rountree, Melissa Kalbfleish and
Nahuacalli Romo-Lara also scored goals for the Lady Panthers (5-6-1).
Carly Detter added an assist for PVAMU.
Bianca Garza made four saves en route to her third consecutive shutout in goal for Prairie View A&M.
The win was the Lady Panthers' third in a row and fourth in five contests as they remained undefeated in Southwestern Athletic Conference play with a record of 4-0-1. The Panthers have not ceded a goal on the road in conference play thus far.
The Lady Panthers conclude their stretch of four consecutive road matches Sunday when they travel to Mississippi Valley State. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Panthers will return to home action Friday when they host Howard University at 7 p.m.
