The Prairie View A&M Department of Athletics will be busy with activity this weekend as a total of nine teams will be in action across the region.
The Prairie View A&M basketball teams prepare for a rough two-game stretch in the Mississippi Delta at Arkansas-PIne Bluff on Saturday night and Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night. Â Both games will be broadcast live on KPVU 91.3 FM beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The bowling team will head to Gulfport, Miss. for the SWAC East Round-up while the women's tennis team will head to Natchitoches, La. to face Northwestern State and Louisiana-Lafayette. Â
The Panther baseball team head to Edinburg, Texas this weekend as they'll play a trio of games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. PVAMU will face Northwestern State at 3 p.m. on Friday and Texas-Pan American on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
After waiting more than a week for its season opener, the Lady Panther softball team will head to Denton, Texas for a tournament at the University of North Texas which spans from Friday to Sunday.
The men's golf team kicks off its 2014 spring season in Lake Charles, La. at the McNeese Sate Invitational while the PVAMU men's and women's indoor track teams head to Birmingham, Ala. for the 2014 SWAC Indoor Track Championships.
