GREENWOOD, Miss. - The Prairie View A&M men's and women's basketball teams close out its road trip tonight in Greenwood, Miss. against Mississippi Valley State in a 5:30 p.m. doubleheader. The contests will be broadcast live on KPVU 91.3 FM and played at the LeFlore County Civic Center due to construction on the MVSU campus.
MEN'S BASKETBALL NOTES
?Prairie View A&M closes out a two-game road stretch tonight at Mississippi Valley State. With the second half of SWAC play underway, every point counts as seeding is at stake for the upcoming SWAC Tournament in March at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
?The Panthers fell to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday and have dropped two straight. As a result of the loss, the Panthers have fallen back to seventh place but are only a game out of third place due to the jumbled SWAC standings.

Byron Rimm II is 7-11 lifetime versus Mississippi Valley State and 1-2 when coaching against Potts on the sidelines.

Jeanette Jackson has doubled her scoring average from last season as she's scoring an average of 19.3 points per outing. She's also the reigning SWAC Player of the Week and a three-time honoree this season. Jackson only needs six points to surpass 1,000 points in her career.
