	A capacity crowd is expected to paint the Baby Dome gold on Saturday night as the PVAMU basketball teams prepare to battle SWAC rival Texas Southern in a 5:30 p.m. doubleheader. The first 100 fans will receive souvenir gold t-shirts as PVAMU officials encourage fans to show up early and avoid missing out on a seat. Fans unable to attend will have a variety of ways to watch or listen to the games as live broadcasts are planned for KPVU 91.3 FM, Panthervision and SWAC-TV.  
PVAMU LADY PANTHERS vs. TEXAS SOUTHERN
5:30 p.m.
?The two hottest teams in the SWAC hit the court this evening for a highly-anticipated match-up as both Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern put its winning streaks on the line inside the Baby Dome.
? The Lady Panthers are on their first winning streak of the season as they've won five straight dating back to Jan. 20.  As a result of the streak, the team is now tied for third in the SWAC standings.

Shamiya Brooks has grabbed five or more rebounds in every SWAC contest this season.  She has recorded 14 blocks over the past four games. 
? With the average margin of victory spanning 5.3 points over the past five meetings, an exciting contest is expected as last month's contest went down to the wire.  TSU holds a 31-29 lead in the all-time series and has won three of the past four over PVAMU.
? TSU head coach Johnetta Hayes-Perry is a former assistant at PVAMU.

Jeanette Jackson has doubled her scoring average from last season as she's scoring an average of 17.9 points per outing.
? The Lady Panthers were picked to finish second in the Southwestern Athletic Conference this season after capturing their third consecutive NCAA Tournament Berth and SWAC Tournament Championship in 2013.
PVAMU PANTHERS vs. TEXAS SOUTHERN

	? The Prairie View A&M Panthers begin round two of SWAC play this weekend with a match-up against SWAC rival Texas Southern inside the William Nicks Building.  Both teams enter Saturday's game looking to get back on the winning track after dropping both games on its Alabama swing last weekend.
	
	? Saturday's game is critical for the Panthers as they're on a three-game slide and tied for sixth place in the SWAC standings.
	
	? The Tigers currently have a three-game winning streak over PVAMU.  Dating back to 1980, TSU holds a 56-18 mark against PVAMU with 16 of PVAMU's wins occurring in 1997 or later.  PVAMU's last win in the Baby Dome over TSU took place on Feb. 4, 2012.
	
	? Texas Southern has turned the tide of the series lately by winning seven-of-eight contests since March of 2010. 
	
	? PVAMU head coach 
Byron Rimm II is 5-12 lifetime versus Texas Southern and 0-3 when coaching against TSU's Mike Davis on the sidelines.
	
	? The 2013-14 Panther roster returns only one starter, seven letterwinners and adds seven newcomers.
