HOUSTON -- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers sent the Prairie View A&M volleyball team home winless in its first Southwestern Athletic Conference West Division contest Tuesday.

The Tigers swept the match by scores of 25-17, 25-23, and 25-18.

Audriana Carson knocked down 10 kills to lead the Lady Tigers (5-12, 2-0 SWAC West). Nicole Robinson, Robyn Shannon and Erica Lewis all registered seven kills apiece for Texas Southern.

MoKeysha Shanklin led Prairie View A&M (4-13, 0-1 SWAC West) with nine kills. Ana Kiso handed out 27 assists, while LaKeisha Allen recorded 15 digs.

The Tigers outhit Prairie View A&M .240 to .041 during the match. Texas Southern committed only 13 attacking errors compared to the Lady Panthers' 29.

Prairie View A&M returns to action Wednesday when the Lady Panthers host Huston-Tillotson in a non-conference match at Nicks Arena. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
