HOUSTON – The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers dropped their second consecutive match to end the regular season Tuesday, falling to Texas Southern in three sets.

Scores of the match were 25-15, 25-8, and 25-20.

Robyn Shannon knocked down a match-high 13 kills to lead Texas Southern (12-17), which officially clinched the Southwestern Athletic Conference's West Division with a 6-1 league record and one match to left to play.

Randi Hunter put away 11 kills to lead the Lady Panthers (8-23), who will enter the SWAC postseason tournament as the West's No. 3 seed with a 4-4 record in divisional play.

Ana Kiso led the Lady Panthers' back line play, recording a double-double with 12 digs to go along with 27 assists.

Calli Jordan Hensch knocked down six kills for Prairie View A&M;
Sydney Walker recorded nine digs for the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Tigers used 9-0 runs early in each of the first two sets to cruise to a 2-0 win. TSU held its visitors to a -.196 hitting percentage (two kills against seven errors on 26 attempts) in the second set.

After the home team held its Senior Night festivities, the Lady Panthers came out much stronger in set three. The Lady Tigers were unable to gain more than a two-point advantage between the 5-3 and 18-16 marks. TSU finally took the match by scoring six of the final nine points of the third set.

The Lady Tigers hit .444 for the match while holding Prairie View A&M to .086 hitting percentage.

Prairie View A&M lost its third consecutive match at TSU's H&PE Arena; the Lady Panthers' last triumph in the building came August 30, 2014, when they defeated New Orleans in five sets at the TSU Invitational.

The Lady Panthers will have a week and half to prepare for the SWAC Tournament in Baton Rouge. PVAMU will face the East Division's No. 2 seed, most likely Alabama State.
