The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team fell to Stephen F. Austin 88-64 at the William R. Johnson Coliseum Tuesday night.

Alexus Parker led the team in scoring and rebounding, finishing with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field and eight rebounds.Â
Tori Carter had 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field.Â
La'Sha Haynes added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Prairie View A&M struggled to make shots from both beyond the 3-point line and at the charity stripe on Tuesday night.Â

The game had two lead changes and three ties. Neither team would relinquish the lead in the first four minutes of the game, but it was the Ladyjacks that got the hot hand closer to the end of the first quarter taking a 24-16 lead.

The second quarter was all SFA which extended its lead to 20 and the Lady Panthers just couldn't slow the Ladyjacks down heading into the locker room down 50-32.

The start of the second half, (third quarter), saw Stephen F. Austin score 10 quick points off of missed ques from the Lady Panthers. It was Parker that scored the first bucket in the half for PVAMU. SFA pushed the lead to 38 points their biggest lead of the game (80-44).

Prairie View A&M will take its Christmas break, returning to the floor on Dec. 28 when they face Texas A&M in College Station. The tip-off time has been changed to 1 p.m.
