CHICAGO - Despite Prairie View A&M women's basketball team having three players in double-digits it wasn't enough to overcome a 94-62 loss to nationally ranked #16 DePaul on Monday afternoon.
 Â
Alexus Parker led PV with 15 points and eight boards.Â
Jeronia Allen and
Kayla Bell each added 11 points, Allen also had five rebounds and one block. Bell added three rebounds, one block and three stills to her numbers.
Â
The Blue Demons (6-2) jumped on the board quickly never allowing the Lady Panthers (4-5) an opportunity to gain a momentum as they took a 31-11 first quarter lead. PV was staring at a large halftime deficit to overcome going into the second half.
Â
Opening up the second half Prairie View A&M just could not close the gap as they closed out the game on a lay-up by
La'Sha Haynes (nine points and six rebounds). However, PV outscored DePaul 22-14 in the final period.
Â
The Lady Panthers will be back in action on December 16, when they host Texas Tech for a 7 p.m. tip.
