HOUSTON, Texas – The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers soccer team lost 5-0 to the Houston Baptist Huskies Friday at Sorrels Field.
After the first two goals made by HBU (2-5-0) in the opening four minutes of the match, the PVAMU Lady Panthers would not allow another goal until the 26th minute as the Huskies scored another goal to take a 3-0 lead in the half.
Houston Baptist extended the lead with two more goals in the final 20 minutes of the second half.
Mila Bustos, Paiton Maples and Danielle Vargas had shots on goal for the Lady Panthers (0-4).
Brooke Merino contributed eight saves for Prairie View A&M, which continues their non-conference schedule Sunday at the University of Incarnate Word at 1 p.m.
