BATON ROUGE, La. – The Prairie View A&M volleyball team fell to Southern in an Southwestern Athletic Conference match up Monday evening at the Clifford Seymour Gymnasium.
The Lady Panthers were able to snag set three, but lost in four sets to the Lady Jaguars 21-25, 29-31, 25-19, and 21-25.
Two Lady Panthers were in double figures in the match. Freshman outside hitter Hallie Morton put down a season and team high of 18 kills, adding three digs and three assisted blocks, while senior outside hitter Taylor Goudeau tallied 10 kills.
Sophomore Sommer Gonzales dished out a career-high 30 assists, one service ace and three digs. Junior Christen Augustine had a game high 18 digs.
Prairie View A&M volleyball team will be back in action on Thursday as they host in-state rival Texas Southern on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the William J. Nicks Babydome.
