HOUSTON - After the three-day event hosted by Sam Houston, the 20th-ranked Prairie View A&M women's bowling team concluded the Track Kat Klash in 15th place out of a field of 21 teams.

The Lady Panthers faced 24th-ranked Youngstown St. in the opening championship bracket on Sunday in the best of seven format. PVAMU fell 4-3 by the scores of 152-194, 179-177, 145-190, 166-184, 170-156, 179-176, 148-199.

PVAMU moved on to face defending SWAC Champ Alabama State, sweeping the Lady Hornets 4-0 (175-146, 169-147, 206-148, 206-166), moving them to the rematch against Youngstown St. This time, the results were different as the Lady Panthers rallied to win 4-3 (169-132, 190-145, 181-146, 139-182, 150-171, 139-189, 176-156).

Prairie View A&M will take a break until January 19, 2018, when they participate in the Southwestern Athletic Conference West Round Up in Dallas, Texas.
