FORT COLLINS, CO. – Led by the efforts of 
Shala Dobbins with 21 points to lead all players, wasn't enough as the Prairie View A&M women's basketball team came up short falling to Colorado State 71-59 on Monday night at Moby Arena.
 
Three Lady Panthers were in double-digit figures as 
Alexis Robinson had 16 points and 
Jordyn Penniman notched 11.  Dobbins Also had three assists and four steals to add to her stats.
 
The Lady Panthers kept the game tight as they were were tied 17-17 in the first quarter and only down by five going into the half.  In a back-and-forth rally in the third quarter, PVAMU went into the fourth only down by three.  In a 5-2 run the Lady Panthers jumped head by one at 54-53, but could not maintain it down the stretch.
 
The Lady Panthers will return to action Thursday at 2 p.m. hosting Rice at the William J. Nicks Baby Dome. The game can be viewed live on the PVAMU Sports Network.
