SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Prairie View A&M University baseball team fell to Incarnate Word 11-1 at Daniel Sullivan Field in a mid-week contest.
The Cardinals struck first as they took a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
The Panthers responded with a score.
Corbin Jamison doubled to right field to lead off the inning.
Tyrone Thomas doubled to right center on the first pitch to score Jamison giving PVAMU its run in the top of the second.
With the score 5-1, Incarnate Word scored single runs in the fifth and seventh innings and four runs in the eighth for the final margin.
PVAMU will return to action on Friday when they face Texas Rio Grande Valley for a four game weekend. The first pitch is set for 7 p.m. in Edinburg, Texas.
