NATCHITOCHES, La. – The Prairie View A&M University baseball team lost at Northwestern State 16-1 Tuesday at Brown-Stroud Field.
 
The Panthers (13-27) scored their only run in the first inning. Corbin Jamison doubled to left on the first pitch of the game. After Jayln Baker's groundout moved Jamison to third, Cody Den Beste's ground out to short scored Jamison.
 
Kevin Macais went 2-for-3 at the plate for Panthers, who had seven hits. PVAMU returns to home Friday to host Southern at 3 p.m. at Tankersley Field in game one of a three-game series.
