PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – During the 2016-17 season, nearly 120 Prairie View A&M's University student-athletes made the Southwestern Athletic Conferences All-Academic team, as announced by the league office.

A total of 118 Panther and Lady Panther athletes were named to the All-Academic Team, which honors SWAC student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

"We are proud and commend our student-athletes for a job well done in the classroom," said PVAMU Vice President/Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson. "We wholeheartedly believe that championship success begins in the classroom, and our athletes continue to exemplify the true idea of student-athlete. We celebrate and applaud their academic success."
