HOUSTON - The Prairie View A&M volleyball team put forth a good effort in a road match Wednesday, but they were unable to come away with the win falling to the University of Houston 3-0 at the Athletics Alumni Center.

The Lady Panthers did not make it easy on the Cougars throughout the match in each set, PVAMU stayed right with the University of Houston early on, but UH would eventually pull away in each instance to take all three sets by the scores of 25-16, 25-21, and 25-20.

Larissa Martinez paced PVAMUs offense with nine kills, while sophomore
Erica Jimenez dished out 14 assists. Junior
Christen Augustine led the team with 14 digs.

The Lady Panthers return to the court on Sept. 19 when they travel to Beaumont, Texas to face Lamar at 7 p.m.
