PVAMU continued their strong play during the third quarter, playing strong defense and converting high percentage attempts on the offensive end. The quality play from the Lady Panthers allowed them to take a lead as large as 15 multiple times during the quarter. Timely buckets from Dobbins, Nealey,
Jhyrah Cobb, and Alexus Robinson keyed an impressive third quarter performance by PVAMU. As the third frame came to a close, the Lady Panthers held a double digit advantage 47-34.
The Lady Panthers remained in control during the opening minutes of the final quarter. Prairie View A&M took a 12 point lead with 9:10 left on a converted Newman layup. However, AAMU would claw their way back into the contest, cutting the PVAMU advantage to 49-44 with 4:10 remaining in regulation. The Lady Panthers would respond, allowing the Lady Bulldogs to only score four points down the stretch, while knocking down key baskets and free throws to secure the victory.
