PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Back and forth action was the order of Monday evening's match in the PVAMU Rec Center, as the seesaw Southwestern Athletic Conference matchup between the Prairie View A&M volleyball team and Grambling went the way of the Lady Tigers 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 20-25, 13-25).
 
"We didn't play offense well tonight," said PVAMU head volleyball coach.  "We came out playing in the first set and then we took a turn.  We played well defensively, and the setters placed the ball where it needed to be, we didn't come to play and we have to do a better job offensively if we want to win some games."
 
Jaylan Thomas led PVAMU in kills with nine, and was followed by senior Latrice Brown, who had eight kills.  Eric Jimenez dished out 17 assistswith 10 digs for her first double-double of the season.  Christen Augustine recorded 13 digs.
 
Prairie View A&M will return to play, Tuesday night, Oct. 2 when they host Southern at 6:30 p.m.
