Prairie View A&M football will open the 2018 home schedule Saturday in a 5 p.m. game against the Southern Jaguars at Panther Stadium.
 
Here's what you need to know:
 
TRAFFIC FLOW: US Highway 290 will be closed westbound ONLY at State Highway 6 / FM 1960 from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. The frontage road will be the detour around the closure.
 
US Highway 290 eastbound will be closed ONLY at Huffmeister Road from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. The frontage road will be a detour around the closure.
 
Both closures are in Harris County and more than 25 miles away from the PVAMU campus.

PARKING: New to PVAMU football in 2018, parking is free on campus except for reserved lots (Silver, Gold, Health Center, Tailgate).
