PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – In their final non-conference tilt, the Prairie View A&M volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to the University St. Thomas of Houston by the scores of 21-25, 24-26, 19-25.
"We have not been able to finish," head PVAMU volleyball coach
TaCho Tyler said. "The setting is there, and the defense was there, but we just can't get the offense going like we should. We have to finish in order to get the win. We have four games left in the regular season and we need to get focused and wrap this season up on a good note."
Sophomore
Victoria Pearson led the Lady Panthers with nine kills, she was followed by
Jaylan Thomas with seven kills.
Joycelyn Nunez posted a team high of 17 assists, while
Erica Jimenez dished out 14 assists and eight digs. Three players had seven digs apiece-
Christen Augustine,
Tamaira Armstrong and
Latrice Brown.
The Lady Panthers will return to action on Monday when they travel to Baton Rouge to face the Jaguars of Southern University for a 6 p.m. first set.
