BATON ROUGE, La. -- Despite a promising first set that went the way of Southern, the Prairie View A&M volleyball team was not able to gain the season-sweep over the Jags, as the Lady Panthers took the three-set loss.
The team fell by the scores of 17-25, 12-25, 16-25.
"At this point the team knows what needs to be done to win," head PVAMU volleyball coach said. "I will continue to reiterate the importance of offense showing up, but it has to be up to the team to execute."
Senior
Latrice Brown paced the Lady Panthers offense as she tallied 11 kills. Sophomore
Victoria Pearson tallied nine kills as well. Junior
Erica Jimenez dished out a team-high 18 assists, while senior
Christen Augustine posted 14 digs.
The Lady Panthers will continue their road trip tomorrow, as they take on the Grambling Tigers at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
