BOX SCORE PRAIRIE VIEW, - Texas – The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team defeated Arlington Baptist College 105-31, Monday night in the PVAMU Rec. Center.

"We played, we were here, but I felt the kids were a little distracted tonight," head PVAMU women's basketball coach Sandy Pugh said.  "We have a few kids taking finals and getting ready for the holidays and we played distracted.  We had no since of urgency initially, but we finally got it going once we put some subs in and do what we needed to do to get the win.  You want to win the basketball game, but you want to maintain a certain intensity level so your team can progress.  We are still a work in progress and we have a lot still to learn.  If we continue to grow and develop we will be fine."

The team scored their second win of the season in a blow-out offensive show.

The Lady Panthers came out a little hesitant in the first quarter, but eventually going on several runs as they claimed 27 of the 35 points scored throughout the opening minutes. They ended on a 10-0 run and led 27-8 after a layup in the final seconds by senior center Artavia Ford.

The fourth quarter was nothing different, as PVAMU continued to lengthen their lead. The Lady Panthers gathered their largest lead of the game at 74 points as they ended the game 105-31.
