NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Prairie View A&M baseball team lost at Stephen F. Austin 13-6 Tuesday night.
 
Jalyn Baker and 
Daniel Lingua each had two hits, a run scored, and an RBI. 
Steven Williams, 
Andrew Garcia, 
Kaylor Lewis, and 
Tyler Gordon each had hits for Prairie View A&M.
 
Trailing 1-0 after one, the Panthers got on the board in the second inning. Williams reached on a throwing error, stole second, and advanced to third on a groundout. 
Corbin Jamison's sacrifice fly scored Williams to tie the score at 1-1.
 
PVAMU fell behind 8-1 after four before rallying for four runs in the fifth. Lewis led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a walk to Gordon. With one out, Baker singled through the left side, scoring Lewis. Lingua followed with a double down the right field line, scoring Gordon and moving Baker to third. Baker later scored on a passed ball, advancing Lingua to third. Lingua then scored on a wild pitch to make the deficit 8-5.
 
Prairie View A&M added a run in the sixth. Jamison led off with a walk, advanced to second on a groundout, and moved to third on a wild pitch. Gordon's single up the middle scored Jamison to cut the deficit to 8-6.
 
However, the Lumberjacks scored five runs in the sixth to break the game open.
 
The Panthers return to action in a three-game SWAC series beginning Friday at Texas Southern at 6 p.m.
