HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Prairie View A&M softball team opened Southwestern Athletic Conference play falling to Alabama A&M 8-5 in the three game series Friday at Lady Bulldog field.
Destinee Williams was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.

Alabama A&M got one back in its half of the first and took the lead in the second on a two-run single, but the advantage was short-lived as a two-run triple from PVAMU's
Day'Zjah Pennywell in the top of fourth made the game 4-3.
After both sides traded scoreless innings, the Lady Bulldogs ripped a four-run fifth inning. PVAMU picked up another late run in the seventh, but AAMU was able to hold on to its lead and get the victory.
The Lady Panthers will play a doubleheader on Saturday with a first pitch at noon.
