BOX SCORE COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Prairie View A&M softball team fell 9-0 to #15 ranked Texas A&M during the final game of the 2018 NCAA College Station Regional at Davis Diamond Friday evening.

"I just told my team there is nothing to be ashamed of," Head PVAMU softball coach Vernon Bland said. "We just played the 15th ranked team in the country. I think we did a pretty good job. If we made a couple of plays early in the first inning that might have changed the perimeter of the game."

The Lady Panthers fell behind early in the first inning with the Aggies taking a 4-0 lead.  Day'Zjah Pennywell ruined the Aggies pitcher no- hitter in the top of third inning with a single to the left side.  However, offensively PVAMU couldn't continue to get a rally going.

"We had some good swings on the ball and quality at bats," said Bland. "Texas A&M made some good plays. Shelby Williams was going to second and Keona Hunter hit the ball up the middle and the second baseman made a good play. That kind of stopped us, and we probably would've had runners on first and third. You never know what would've taken place. The balls just didn't fall for us tonight."

The Lady Panthers will face Baylor in the 4 p.m. elimination game on ESPN3.
