PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas –  It's that time of the season for the Prairie View A&M University women's soccer team to get started as they open the 2018 season with a home opener Friday night. 
 
The Lady Panthers have been busy preparing for its contest against McNeese at 7 p.m. at the PVAMU Soccer Field.
 
The 15 returning players from last year's team, are also excited.  Prairie View A&M University had two players named to the 2018 All SWAC Preseason Team.  Juniors Blair Lane and Alex Fields will be looked upon to lead the way for the Lady Panthers.
 
After a couple of short weeks of preseason practice, this will be the season opener for both teams.
 
The Lady Panthers will host nine home games, not to include the 2018 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, Nov. 1-4.
