HOUSTON,– The Prairie View A&M volleyball team fell 3-0 in the final match for the Lady Panthers at the HBU Tournament. The team fell by the scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-12.
"It was a little rough today," said head PVAMU volleyball coach
TaCho Tyler. "It was a total mental breakdown in a lot of areas defense, setting, blocking, I think the totality of the whole game was breakdown mentally. That's just something we have to get back in the gym and fix. We weren't mentally in tune with the little things."
Jaylan Thomas paced the Lady Panthers offense with nine kills, with
CeTara Carter following close behind with six. Junior setter
Erica Jimenez added nine assists, while senior defensive specialist
Christen Augustine posted 14 digs.
Jimenez named to HBU All-Tournament Team.
The Lady Panthers will continue non-conference play Tuesday, at they hit the road to take on Houston, at 7 p.m.
