PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas- Prairie View A&M soccer wrapped up its conference opener with a scoreless tie against Howard University Friday night at the PVAMU Soccer Field.
"Tonight we created some chances early on in the game," said Head Coach Sonia Curvelo. "Overall we were dominating more in the second half. We can continue to build from tonight's performance, while I see my team still improving."
During the 110 minutes of constant play, neither Howard nor Prairie View were able to score, but attacked the goal 31 times combined.
The Bison's out shot the Lady Panthers 17-14 for the match, while Prairie View took advantage of the 10-9 shots on goal.
Blair Lane paced the Lady Panthers with three attempts, while the team combined for seven.
Goalkeeper,
Quinn Josiah finished the match with nine saves playing the entire contest.
The Lady Panthers will be back in action next Friday, Sept. 28 as they continue conference play at the PVAMU Soccer Complex against Southern University at 7 p.m.
