HOUSTON — The Prairie View A&M baseball team dropped the first of the three game series 10-4 to Texas Southern Friday evening at McGregor Park.
In the first frame, with runners on first and third base, a single through the left side from
Dalton Horner sent
Daniel Lingua home for the first run of the game.
With the bases loaded a single to third base from
Calvin Rucker allowed
Alex Martinez to come in for another home touch, and an early 2-0 lead.
The Panthers were down 3-2 in the top of the third inning, before a single to left field brought Martinez in for the tying 3-3 run.
Horner scored the team's final run of the game in the fifth inning, on a miscue by the Tigers. The game was knotted at 4-4, before TSU pulled ahead in the final innings and PVAMU was unable to answer.
