PRAIRIE VIEW  - After a week off, the Prairie View A&M Panthers return to the pitch for a Sunday tilt at McNeese State, looking to rebound from opening weekend setbacks.

First touch is set for 1 p.m. at Cowgirl Field. Prairie View A&M (0-2) seeks its first win of the season and its first win in series history against the Cowgirls (1-1), who have won each of the past nine meetings between the teams.

Last Time Out:
- Prairie View A&M fell 1-0 in a defensive battle to Texas State on Aug. 25. Sophomore goalkeeper Quinn Josiah made six saves in her season debut.

Scouting the Competition:
- McNeese comes into Sunday's contest with a 1-1 overall record. The Cowgirls defeated Southern 4-1 to open the season before falling to LSU 1-0 Friday.

- The Cowgirls return eight starters from the 2018 season, during which the team posted a program-best 13-7-1 record (7-3-1 Southland). This season, McNeese is predicted to finish fourth in the Southland Conference, having placed six players on the All-Southland Preseason Teams.

- Anna Watson leads the Cowgirls with two goals scored on the season. Mariah Ruelas and Keely Morrow each have one goal and an assist in 2019 play.
