PRAIRIE VIEW – Prairie View A&M's Southwestern Athletic Conference opener versus Southern initially slated to be played on Saturday, January 2 has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test and subsequent quarantining of student-athletes among the Jaguars' program.

This action follows the guidelines and protocols set by the league and its COVID-19 Advisory Committee.
 
A makeup date for the game has not been determined at this time.

As a result, the Panthers are now scheduled to begin league play at Alcorn State on January 4. Tip-off time is set for 7:30 p.m.
