PRAIRIE VIEW – Prairie View A&M men's basketball welcomes Alabama State and Alabama A&M to the Baby Dome for a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference games this weekend, completing the Panthers' final home stand of the regular season.

The Panthers (16-11, 12-2 SWAC) face Alabama State (8-19, 7-7 SWAC) Saturday at 5:30 p.m. From there, Prairie View A&M takes on Alabama A&M (7-18, 4-10 SWAC) the following Monday with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.

Seniors Gerard Andrus, Devonte Patterson, Darius Williams, Chancellor Ellis, Antione Lister and Leon Sneed will be recognized during Saturday's game, designated as Senior Night.

Last time out, the Panthers continued to hold strong atop the league standings with wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State. A win would assure the Panthers a home game in the opening round of the 2020 Cricket Wireless SWAC Basketball Tournament, while a pair of wins guarantees the Panthers at least a share of the SWAC regular season crown.

Panthers News and Notes:
- Senior Gerard Andrus set a career-high in rebounds with 15 during the Panthers' win over Mississippi Valley State. He scored 24 points as well, giving him his fourth double-double of the season.
– Prairie View A&M enters the weekend with a 24-game home winning streak, the second-longest active streak in the nation. Overall, the Panthers have won six straight contests.

- Andrus and fellow senior Devonte Patterson rank fourth and fifth in the SWAC in scoring at 15.0 points and 14.8 points per game, respectively. Both players are in the top five for field-goal percentage as well.

Scouting Alabama State:
- Alabama State looks to rebound off a tough weekend where the Hornets suffered back to back losses to Southern – which snapped a five-game win streak -- and Alcorn State. The Hornets are the last team to defeat PVAMU, holding the Panthers to their second-lowest point total of the season.

- Tobi Ewuosho continues to lead the Hornets offensively, averaging 13.1 points and 6.1 boards per game while shooting nearly 49 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc. Leon Daniels is second on the team, averaging nearly 10 points a night.

Scouting Alabama A&M:
- The Bulldogs hope to finish the year strong and reverse their current trajectory, as they have dropped three of their last four games.

- Cameron Alford and Garrett Hicks will be called upon to lead the AAMU offense, as Alford leads the team with a 13.8 points-per-game average and Hicks accounts for nearly 11 points a night.
