WACO, Texas – Sophomore Jorge Juarez Caballero picked up a singles win, but it was not enough as the Prairie View A&M men's team dropped a 4-1 decision to Abilene Christian Saturday afternoon.
Caballero had no trouble with his opponent, winning 6-4, 6-0. However, it was the lone bright spot for the Panthers on the day.
ACU swept the doubles portion of the action, and the Panthers weren't able to get much going in singles action as Xavier Lawrence fell 6-4, 6-0, and Tyrese Washington dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision.
Though Rodrigo Yoshikata forced a third set in his match, Juan Malham Viada lost a competitive match by scores of 7-5, 6-3, clinching the contest for Abilene Christian.
