PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team has opted out of its upcoming contest versus Alabama A&M, initially slated for January 30, amid concerns stemming from COVID-19 protocols and contact tracing within the PVAMU women's basketball program.

As a result, the start time for the PVAMU men's basketball contest versus the Bulldogs on that day has been moved up to 3 p.m. It was originally set for 5:30 p.m.

It is unknown whether the women's contest will be rescheduled.
