CLINTON, Miss.- Senior Jemal Wote earns Southwestern Athletic Conference most valuable runner as the men's and women's cross country teams finish third and seventh respectively.

Wote (25:08.25) was the leader of the pack, with teammate, senior Worthington Moore (25:33.52), right behind finishing second, earning both All-SWAC honors. Junior Cymon Shy (27:46.19) rounded out the panther top three finishing 21st. 

On the women's side Naomi Davis (20:40.50) was the first panther to cross the line finishing 24th. Helen Roddy (21:21.28) was the next Lady Panther finishing 33rd overall. Freshman Jourdan Garnett (21:48.20) closed out the Lady  Panthers top three finishing 36th overall.
