Metarie, La. - Down by two sets the Prairie View A&M volleyball team bounced back to take a five set thriller over Grambling State Sunday evening at Tiger Memorial gym.

How it Happened:
The Lady Tigers won set one by the score of 27-25, then picked up set two by the score of 25-11. The Lady Panthers bounced back winning set three 25-19 and refused to fold, winning the fourth set by a 25-18 count and clinching the match with a 15-12 decision in the fifth set.

Malia Viernes led the Lady Panthers with a season high of 21 kills, while teammate
Kimira Coffee paced the team with 11 and
Caiya Artis added eight. Artis had a career high of 20 digs to go along with her efforts.Â
Jakarta Hope had 34 assists and one service ace. Prairie View's back line also had 13 digs from
Skyla Childs and Viernes.

Prairie View A&M will return to the hardwood to wrap up their regular season contest with a match at Pine Bluff on Monday for a 6 p.m. first serve in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
