BOX SCORE GRAMBLING, La. – The Prairie View A&M soccer team (1-1, 1-0 SWAC) opened Southwestern Athletic Conference play with a thrilling 3-2 double overtime win over Grambling State (0-2, 0-1 SWAC) Friday afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex.

How it Happened:
The Panthers got on the board early in the first half when Jaiden Morgan found the twine for her first collegiate goal. After Grambling tied the game at the 21^st minute via penalty kick, the Panthers fell behind in the 50^th minute as Lady Tigers striker Kailey Pena scored her second goal of the day.

Not long after, Kalia Brown knotted the game for the Panthers. Prairie View A&M had a chance to win in the final minutes but was unable to convert a penalty kick, forcing extra time.

After neither side got much done in the first overtime, D'Sanye Nugent was the heroine for the Panthers, putting a strike home in the final moments of double overtime.
