HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Prairie View A&M women's basketball team (3-10, 2-8 SWAC) fell 74-51 at Alabama A&M during Southwestern Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.
How it Happened:
The Panthers came out firing from the opening tip thanks to early offense from Tamiracle Taylor and Kennedy Paul, who combined for 11 points to give Prairie View A&M a 15-14 lead after one. However, the advantage was short-lived. After Diana Rosenthal scored five points to open the second quarter to put PVAMU ahead 20-18, the Bulldogs went on a 7-0 run to take control.
The Panthers pulled within two after a layup from Trinity Hudson and a three-pointer from Paul, but Alabama A&M closed the half on a 9-2 run. The contest got away from the Panthers in the third quarter. Despite early buckets from Rosenthal, the Bulldogs couldn't miss from the field as they pushed their advantage to as many as 17. The Panthers were unable to generate enough offense to overcome Alabama A&M the rest of the way.

Rosenthal led PVAMU with 19 points, four assists, four rebounds and four steals. Paul added 11.
