WACO, Texas – The Prairie View A&M baseball team (2-11) dropped a 12-2 decision at Baylor Wednesday evening in Baylor Ballpark.
How It Happened:
After a hit batsman set up Baylor's first run of the game, Prairie View A&M tied the game as
Keanu Maldonado scored on a pick-off attempt. However, Baylor added three runs in the bottom of the second inning and scored once in the fourth. Prairie View A&M responded in the top of the fifth when as
Xavier Jefferson was hit by a pitch and later stole second before a single from
Alex Martinez moved him to third.

Brayden Johnson sacrifice fly brought Jefferson home, but the Panthers stranded a pair of runners in the frame. From there, Baylor pulled away, scoring five runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
Key Stats:
Andrew Garcia,
Tyler Gordon and K. Maldonado each had a base hit.
Roberto Maldonado was charged with the loss, allowing five runs in 3.2 innings.
