- PVAMU currently holds a two-game winning streak over the Devilettes. However, the Lady Panthers have not played Mississippi Valley State in the state of Mississippi since 2012.

Maddison Parker is making the most of her plate appearances, hitting .625 on the season with two doubles and a pair of RBI.
Serena Antone has also impressed, hitting .375 with a pair of extra-base hits.
- The Lady Panthers lead the SWAC in batting average, slugging percentage and double plays per game.
Scouting MVSU:
- The Devilettes have struggled offensively, hitting .173 on the season. Naomi Drake is the team's top hitter, with three doubles and a .333 batting average.
- Mercedes Silva projects as the team ace, having allowed four hits per game in her five appearances.
