PVAMU News and Notes:
- PVAMU currently holds a two-game winning streak over the Devilettes. However, the Lady Panthers have not played Mississippi Valley State in the state of Mississippi since 2012.

- Maddison Parker is making the most of her plate appearances, hitting .625 on the season with two doubles and a pair of RBI. Serena Antone has also impressed, hitting .375 with a pair of extra-base hits.
- The Lady Panthers lead the SWAC in batting average, slugging percentage and double plays per game.

Scouting MVSU:
- The Devilettes have struggled offensively, hitting .173 on the season. Naomi Drake is the team's top hitter, with three doubles and a .333 batting average.

- Mercedes Silva projects as the team ace, having allowed four hits per game in her five appearances.
