- PVAMU has won four of its last five games versus Alabama A&M, but have not played the Bulldogs in the state of Texas since 2015. The Lady Panthers have won three straight over Alabama A&M in the Lone Star State.

- Alyssa Garcia is hitting .368 and is coming off a strong week at Mississippi Valley State where she hit .500 with a pair of doubles, four RBI and three runs scored. Maddison Parker leads the team in hitting with a robust .526 average.

Scouting AAMU:
- The Lady Bulldogs enter the weekend having won four of their last five games. Serena Herbranson leads the team with a .368 average along with 14 hits (three doubles) and five RBI. Esperanza Coe is a dual-threat, ranking second on the team in batting with a .294 average while leading the team with six RBI and three wins from the circle. Alyssa Lopez leads the team with a 3.97 ERA and is expected to start at least once for the Lady Bulldogs.
