PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M softball team saw its comeback fall short against Texas Southern as the Lady Panthers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Lady Tigers Friday afternoon at the PVAMU Softball Field.
How it Happened:

Brianna Grays reached on an error and swiped second base to move into scoring range.
Ryleigh Love followed with a RBI single to cut the Lady Tigers' deficit to two, but the Panthers were unable to bring Love across home plate.
In the seventh inning, PVAMU had a prime chance as Cameron Lavernge reached on a single and moved to third thanks to a wild pitch. After
Alexandria Lewis drew a walk – she was replaced by pinch-runner
Destinee Smith -- Lavergne scored during a
Kyra Lunford foul out to draw within one, leaving Smith as the tying run.
However, Grays hit into a fielder's choice and Texas Southern managed to get Smith out at home plate to end the game.
Lavergne led PVAMU with two hits.
Mya Hall threw a complete game, scattering 10 hits while striking out seven. Paige Jackson had a pair of hits and two RBI to lead Texas Southern.
