PRAIRIE VIEW – Prairie View A&M volleyball team dropped their match to Eastern Washington in a 3-0 loss on Monday night at the William J. Nicks Arena.
Freshman middle blocker
Kiersten Atkinson tallied five kills, with one block assist and two digs to lead PV in non-conference action, as they went down by the scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-13.
Head Volleyball coach
TaCho Tyler is still putting the pieces together, and reviewing what she is seeing from the team after playing a quarter of their schedule.
"We have to work on being disobedient as a team, so that we can run an offense that we would like to run," said Tyler. "Once this happens fans will see a much better product."
Freshman setter
Amina Attra, and junior
Jakarta Hope combined for 14 assists.
Prairie View A&M will travel over to Austin, Texas to face Huston-Tillotson on Wednesday, September 8 for a 6 p.m. first serve. Dating back to 2011 Prairie View A&M holds an 11-3 overall record over the Rams.
"We will have to control what we control on our side of the net," Tyler said about Wednesday's upcoming match against Huston-Tillotson. "We first have to start with serve and receive foremost so that we can get into our offense and once we get into our offense we should be able to score."
