PRAIRIE VIEW – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named
Sierra Cota-Yarde SWAC Goalkeeper of the Week for her standout performance over the weekend.
Cota-Yarde, a native of Toronto, Ontario played between the posts in all 200 minutes of last weekend's matchups. The true freshman tallied eight saves, four against the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders, and four in the matchup versus the McNeese Cowgirls, while en route to recording two shutout contests. She also recorded her third career shutout of the season.
This marks the second consecutive week earning the Goalkeeper of the Week honor.
The Lady Panthers will return to action, when they travel to Nacogdoches, Texas on Sunday September 12 to face the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks. The first kick is set for 1 p.m. CT.
