PRAIRIE VIEW – Senior Stephanie Vasquez and freshman Jayda Gordon was tabbed with Southwestern Athletic Conference Bowling Weekly Honors for their performance during the Colonial Lanes Classic.

Vasquez was named as the SWAC Bowler of the Week for her individual play last weekend.  She boasted a 12^th place finish knocking down a total pin fall of 993, while leading the Lady Panthers Bowling team to an 11^th place finish.

Gordon opened her debut weekend finishing as one of the top freshmen earning a 27^th place finish overall.  She fired a season high 202 game in traditional play in a high performance match up to No. 24 University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  She also rolled a 201 in the final match between PVAMU and Texas Southern to earn the win.  Her performance earned her SWAC Newcomer of the Week.
The team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 22 for a 10 a.m. matchup at PVAMU Lanes vs. Texas Southern.
