Prairie View A&M University Athletics

2021 Prairie View A&M program has placed six outstanding scholar-athletes on the National Tenpin Coaches Association's (NTCA) All-Academic Team, as well as making the grade as one of the top ten academic programs in the nation.The team honors individual bowlers who have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4 or greater during the 2020-21 academic year. This is Stephanie Vasquez's back-to-back award recognition.  The Lady Panthers were just as impressive off the lanes as they were on it, posting a team GPA of 3.693 while winning this past season's SWAC regular season championship for a third time, as well as a SWAC Championship

2020-21: Sam Houston State-hosted TRACK Kat Klash ,Prairie View A&M had four bowlers in the top 20 of individual standings with Stephanie Vasquez ranking 18^th with a mean score of 175.4. Southwestern Athletic Conference West Bowling Roundup from USA Bowl left the Prairie View A&M bowling team third in the standings after going 3-2 . With Junior Asia Wren (850) and freshman Cheyenne Washington (507) sits in 18th and 19th respectively. SWAC West Roundup PVAMU ended the day with an 8-2 record in league play and a total pinfall of 8,911. while Stephanie Vasquez is 17^th (170.5 average), up nine spots from day one

2019-20: Day two of the Southwestern Athletic Conference West Bowling Roundup Senior Jada Davis and freshman Stephanie Vasquez also cracked the top five with 182.89 and 182.20 averages, respectively. finished in seventh place with a total of 1,446 pins and a 180.75 average through eight games. 

The team honors individual bowlers who have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4 or greater during the 2019-20 academic year. Crystal Cline, Jada Davis, Shirley Kennebrew, Asia Wren and Stephanie Vasquez each earned recognition from the NTCA. For Cline, Davis, Kennebrew and Wren this is the second straight year they have garnered All-Academic honors. Vasquez, a freshman, has earned the distinction for the first time.

High School- In 2017 she was The Pepsi State Tournament District Three Champion, while also earning Nor Cal YBA: Four-time All-Star – Top Five Bowler in Northern California in the Girls Division. She won the 2018 Diddy Watts State Tournament Champion. 

To add to her many accolades, Vasquez participated in Junior Gold in 2018 and was one of only two Californian bowlers to advance and finish 116th place in the world. 

Vasquez recorded a game-high pin count of 290 and a high series of 756.
