PRAIRIE VIEW – Graduate Student Hegel Augustin led the Prairie View A&M men's basketball team to a 27-point win Wednesday evening over the visiting Stallions from North American University in Houston 95-68.
Hegel led four different PVAMU players into double digits with a season high of 23 points. Four of the five starters for PV reached double digits respectively improving the Panthers to 2-0 on the season.
In addition to the Panthers Hegel, graduate Will Douglas and sophomore Brian Myles added 15 point apiece, while graduate student Tekorian TK Smith had 10 points in the win.
The Panthers took a 47-38 lead into the locker room. The second half picked up where the first half left off for PVAMU. While scoring basket for basket at one-point in the game, the Panthers pulled away taking the 95-68 win.
Prairie View A&M University will host Washington State on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.
