EVANSTON, Ill. – The Prairie View A&M men's basketball team just couldn't get its shots to fall in the last minutes of play surrendering a 61-51 loss in non-conference action to Northwestern on the road at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The Panthers couldn't find the notch that was needed to keep pace the with the Wildcats down the stretch falling in the final minutes of play moving PVAMU to 4-5 overall on the season, while Northwestern to 7-2.
"The things that we didn't do that we needed to do is defend and take care of the ball," said head PVAMU Men's Basketball coach. "We committed way too many turnovers (16-9), compared to Northwestern. We emphasize it all of the time about taking care of the ball, defend the rim and make sure we rebound the ball."
