PRAIRIE VIEW – After being on the road the entire month of February and half of March, the Prairie View A&M softball team will host the Alcorn State Braves for their home opener on Friday, March 18 for a 3 p.m., bout. All games are free at the PVAMU Softball Complex.
Alcorn enters Friday's contest with a 7-16 overall record and 0-3 in conference play after falling to Texas Southern. PVAMU has had a bit of a struggle this season getting consistent play from pitchers to hitters. They will enter their first home contest with a 1-19 overall record, 1-2 in the SWAC.
The teams will face off again on Saturday with a doubleheader. The first pitch it set for noon on March 19. The second game will begin 30 minutes afterwards.

Cailin Massey who is 1-6 on the season with a 6.10 ERA. Sophomore
Biviana Figueroa leads the team's offense hitting a .457 average. She logged in 21 hits, four runs, and 11 RBI.
