PVAMU Track and Field impress at TSU Relays

HOUSTON, TX – The PVAMU Men's and Women's track teams run impressive times at the 70th annual TSU Relays

Notable Women's Results: 

• Sydney (2:18.83) and Shelby (2:20.82) Devereaux finish second and third respectively in the 800m run

• The 4x100 team ran a conference leading time of 46.45 seconds placing third overall

• Dinah Murphy Outran the field in the 1500m run, placing first with a time of 4:46.37. Teammates Jourdan Garnett (5:10.87) and Naomi Davis (5:13.35) finish second and third respectively

• The 4x400 relay team finished first overall with a conference leading time of 3:47.08

Notable Men's Results: 

• Nathan Crawford-Wallis finished third overall in the long jump with a jump of 7.24m.

• Jemal Wote had a fourth place finish in the 800m run with a time of 1:56.93

• Christian Derrick (48.01 seconds) took home the gold in the 400m dash

• The 4x400 relay team finished first overall with a conference leading time of 3:12.90

The Panthers will be back in action March 25-26, 2022 as they are set to host the 88th annual Prairie View Relays.
